I always knew when someone was coming ... there were no surprises.

There were times I had to make decisions, and because that financial piece was there, I could make sure I was making decisions that were staying in my budget. Having that financial piece allowed me to make sure that I was staying within my budget.

The online portal was a way where, if Bluestem had a question for us, or we had a question for them, there was a way for us to communicate that.
Whoever needed to answer the question could answer the question. It was always a very quick turnaround. The communication was very open, prompt and quick.

I really enjoyed the fact they [Bluestem] have a portal which allowed for myself and my son and his wife to really feel like we were a part of the team and that we could keep track of things. It gave us the ability to really be able to stay within my budget.

I loved the client portal - the transparency around cost and options. I loved knowing that we would have those options and that control. It was very clear - 'this is what it costs'. We had clear information all of the time, at the ready.

They stuck to their timeline. It was really important to them to stick to their timeline, and that - I do not think I have seen with other contracting projects that we have done before. And, they did not sacrifice quality in the name of sticking to their timeline, either. They wanted to make sure they brought you best product.

The online management system was a wonderful way to make sure that communications were clear and that we had a say over all costs. I have spoken with others who said their projects went 30% over budget and they were amazed when I told them ours did not go a penny over budget. There were no surprises.

We were very pleased with our project, the timeliness, the commitment to the bid (no surprises financially), and the demeanor of the staff at Bluestem. The entire process was smooth, and attention to detail was a priority for Bluestem. We received many compliments that the look of the remodel was in keeping with the style of our home.
